Ordering & Shipping
How long until my order ships?
Orders are processed in 1-3 business days. We ship live crayfish Monday through Wednesday using FedEx 2-Day service so your crayfish avoids weekend transit. You'll receive tracking as soon as your order is on the way.
Do you ship to my state?
We ship to most of the United States. During periods of extreme heat or cold, we may hold your order until the next safe ship date to protect your crayfish. If you have questions about timing for your area, just reach out before ordering.
Can I combine multiple crayfish in one shipment?
In many cases, yes. Contact us before or right after ordering and we'll let you know the best way to combine crayfish safely in a single insulated box.

What does the Live Arrival Guarantee cover?
We guarantee that your crayfish arrives alive and healthy. If it does not, we'll replace it or refund you according to our guarantee terms once we receive your unboxing photo or video.
What do I need to do to stay covered?
Choose FedEx 2-Day shipping, make sure someone is available to receive the package on the delivery date, and take a clear unboxing photo or video before acclimating. These simple steps keep your order fully protected.
What if my crayfish arrives in poor condition?
Send us a clear unboxing photo or video within the guarantee window along with your order number. We'll review it quickly and arrange a replacement or refund.
Crayfish Care
What do crayfish eat?
Crayfish are omnivores and easy to feed. A staple of quality sinking pellets, plus blanched vegetables (like zucchini and spinach) and occasional protein, keeps them healthy and colorful. Avoid overfeeding to keep your water clean.
Do crayfish molt?
Yes. Crayfish shed their exoskeleton as they grow and are vulnerable until their new shell hardens. Leave the molted shell in the tank for them to eat, provide plenty of hides, and keep calcium available to support healthy molts.
How big do crayfish get and how long do they live?
It varies by species, but many popular color crayfish reach roughly 4-6 inches and can live a few years with good care. Check the individual product page for details on the species you're interested in.
Tank Setup & Tankmates
What size tank do I need?
A single adult crayfish does well in a 10-20 gallon tank with a secure lid, plenty of hides, and stable filtration. More space and more cover are required if you plan to keep multiple crayfish or tankmates.
What water parameters do crayfish prefer?
Most color crayfish thrive in room-temperature freshwater around 65-78°F with neutral to slightly alkaline pH and moderate hardness. Always cycle your tank before adding livestock and keep ammonia and nitrite at zero.
Can I keep crayfish with fish or other crayfish?
With care. Crayfish may catch slow or bottom-dwelling fish and can be territorial with each other, especially during molts. Provide lots of hides and space, choose fast mid-to-top swimming tankmates, and see our companions guide for details.

Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to update or cancel it. Once a live order is packed and on its way, it can no longer be changed.
