Chocolate Ghost Lobster - Freshwater Crayfish
Procambarus "Chocolate Ghost" are newer crayfish selection that has lots of chocolate brown color and the white splashes on the tail and across different spots that are typical of the "Ghost" like types. 'Chocolate Ghost' may have 1 or 2 different shades of chocolate color across the exoskeleton. This is a unique type to pair with a "White Spectre" crayfish or an "electric blue lobster" crayfish in your aquarium to give some good color.
One thing to note is that immediately after molt, color may lighten up considerably making a chocolate ghost look more like a blue ghost or a tricolor ghost. These can be similar in their style and colors at times. As this molting time period passes, the colors will typically darken again. When these photos were taken, I placed them in the grouping I felt they fit best.
Male crayfish are heavily desired as pets because they develop large claws and more aggressive behavior, giving them the lobster-like personality many love.
Each crayfish here is unique. Patterns may darken or lighten as crayfish molts and ages. Because of this I have exact photos of each of the crayfish offered. While I am currently breeding crayfish, this class came directly from another breeder. Some have injuries from fighting other crayfish, which I have tried to note on here. This is not too much of a concern as crayfish regrow and heal lost or damaged appendages, often after their next molt.
