Procambarus clarkii "Blue Ghost" Lobster Female Pet Crayfish
Procambarus clarkii "Blue Ghost"
Female
Blue Ghost Lobster - Freshwater Crayfish
Procambarus "Blue Ghost" are not that common in the United States. They give great blue color, but have splashes of white across their arms back and tail. This creates a unique pattern. This is not be confused with "Blue Dragon" crayfish, which have different colors and pattern. "Blue Ghost" are fun unique breed that can be fun in future breeding projects with crayfish due not just to the white pigment, but also the blue.
One thing to note is that after molt, color may lighten up considerably making a blue ghost look more like a tricolor or a chocolate ghost. These can be similar in their style and colors at times. As this molting time period passes, the colors will typically darken again. When these photos were taken, I placed them in the grouping I felt they fit best.
Female crayfish are often in high demand because they can produce so many eggs for breeders, often making them more scare in the trade.
Each crayfish here is unique. Patterns may darken or lighten as crayfish molts and ages. Because of this I have exact photos of each of the crayfish offered. While I am currently breeding crayfish, this class came directly from another breeder. Some have injuries from fighting other crayfish, which I have tried to note on here. This is not too much of a concern as crayfish regrow and heal lost or damaged appendages, often after their next molt.
